EMA KRIŽIČ

Founder

She has been dancing contemporary dance since a young age, acquiring knowledge from regularly attending workshops in Slovenia and abroad. After graduating in landscape architecture she moved to Lisbon to study contemporary dance at Olga Roriz dance company. For many years she has been a member of Studio for free dance in Ljubljana under which she has performed and co-created dance performances, working closely with choreographer and dancer Urša Rupnik. As a dancer she has performed in projects of different artists (Zlatar Frey, Osojnik, Horvat, Mrak) and danced in performances of Magic Theater Serpentes (Slovenia, Germany, Croatia), Slovene National Theatre Maribor, Amalgama dance Company (Lisbon) and IRIU- Institute for the Exploration of Innovative Art. She is a co-founder and dancer of Frankies Collective (InVitro, In SiTu, Utvare/Prevare, Domus Fabula). In teaching contemporary dance, her focus is on movement exploration, sourcing from subtle work on body awareness and the more dynamic nature of soft acrobatics.
